Squad Tactics Class 9/26 – Video

Here is a smattering of video which we collected either by phone or drone.
On this class we gave students missions, and they had to plan, give orders, rehearse, and go out and run the mission force on force. For the first mission of the day, orders were given in the team cabin. After that, we didn’t go back to the team cabin and ran all the rest of the missions using terrain models (sand tables) on the training area, which students used to give the orders as the squad leader, and we stayed out on the ground. We ran 11 missions over 4 days.
It was a humid class and it tested the group. Your fitness must be up to speed to stay ahead of the curve in this class. The OPFOR (opposing force) is seen in this video, particularly counter-attacking the trench system once the friendly forces had captured it. They are a unit that trains together and are very effective. The bangs you see / hear on the video are simulating indirect fire. The air horn simulates grenade detonations.
