HOW TO BOOK TRAINING CLASSES

Join the MVT FORUM HERE for training opportunities.

Training opportunities will be posted in the MVT Training Club on the MVT Forum:

You can organize:

  • Private Classes at a suitable Mobile Class location across the county, or at the VTC private training center in Romney.
  • You can organize a private class for your own group, whether that be in VTC or elsewhere.
  • For individual students or smaller groups looking to train, we have the option to fill up a Training Club class. Opportunities will be posted in the MVT Training Club on the forum. Register and join!

Deposit: this books the class. Remainder of the tuition is due at the class.

Refund Policy:

  • Class payments / deposits are a commitment to train. In case of cancellation by students, deposits are non-refundable.
  • Remaining Balances (above deposit amount) is due on the day of the class.
  • Payments are non-refundable:
    • May be transferred to another class if there is more than 1 month before the start of class.
    • Will be forfeit if there is less than 1 month before the start of the class.
    • If less than 2 weeks before class, the remaining amount above deposit is owed to MVT.

If classes are cancelled by MVT due to other factors, class fees will be refunded, or allocated to another class, at student discretion.

Note: Due to pre-deployment training for Special Military Units being conducted at the VTC, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes at the VTC with 30 days notice.

Terms & Conditions

RESPONSIBILITY

By booking a class with Max Velocity Tactical (MVT) through this system YOU agree to follow all safety instructions. You will be sent a disclaimer and information packet following receipt of your class deposit; YOU agree to sign the disclaimer and follow the various safety instructions and policies while attending training (see below for wording of disclaimer).

By paying the deposit and booking a class:

YOU agree to follow the class directions packet in order to arrive on time for the posted class start time.

YOU agree to follow the various directions and procedures in the class information packet as regards class arrival and conduct.

YOU agree to ensure that you research and comply with the relevant storage laws for transiting States with firearms as you drive to and from the training site.

YOU agree that firearms must be unloaded until instructed to load for training (i.e. no magazine fitted, no round in the chamber), until you receive a class safety brief which will describe further actions to be taken.

YOU agree that any restricted firearm (i.e. Short Barrel Rifle/Full Auto/Suppressed etc.) must be in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws and accompanied by appropriate paperwork, making them legal to use on a range in West Virginia, or anywhere else that your class is taking place.

YOU certify that you are a U.S Citizen or Legal Resident and can thus legally conduct tactical training in accordance with Department of State ITAR regulations.

YOU certify that you are not a convicted felon and can legally own, possess and operate any firearms that you either bring to, or rent, at class.

YOU are assuming all responsibility for the legality of a specific item you bring to class.

YOU are responsible for checking all local laws before bringing or using an item at MVT training..

YOU are responsible for complying with all firearms laws in your area.

YOU are responsible for payment for all classes booked through this online system.

Class Late Arrival Policy: If YOU are going to be late, call/text. If you are more than a few minutes late, it will impact on the group training and the time cannot be made up. We are unable to catch you up with the training progression if you miss part of the training. Moral: don’t be late, travel the night before.  You can always camp at site. Late arrivals: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE YOUR WAY OUT TO THE RANGES. Remain at the parking area for further instructions.

YOU agree to bring the specified equipment necessary for the class, including any firearms and ammunition, unless by prior arrangement to use specific MVT equipment.

Safety:  A safety brief will be given before any training is conducted. Tactical & firearms training has the potential to be dangerous, causing serious injury and even fatalities if safety procedures are not properly adhered to. YOU confirm that you will adhere to the training safety procedures and instructions as briefed prior to and during training:

Fitness: Tactical training requires a basic level of mobility. Instructors will tailor the level of physical intensity to the capabilities of the trainees and rest will be incorporated into the training day. Exertion levels will depend on the specific class. You will be exposed to the prevailing weather conditions at the training site and there is no air conditioning and limited shelter. YOU agree to research the class description and understand the physical requirements of the chosen class.

Medical: Ensure you are medically fit to attend a tactical training course and that you are not aware of any medical conditions that would make it unsafe for you to do so. If in doubt seek medical clearance from your physician.

Alcohol: Alcohol is not permitted to be consumed during the training day and anyone who shows up under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to train. Alcoholic drinks may be permitted at group socials after close of training, if requested.

Drugs: There is zero tolerance for any illegal substances. Additionally, individuals that appear to be under the influence of performance impairing substances (whether prescription, over the counter or unlawful) will not be permitted to train.

Criminal Activity / Civil Disorder: It is not the intent of Max Velocity Tactical to provide training that will be used in criminal activities, to further criminal ends or to further civil disorder. Training is solely provided to law abiding persons for the purposes of tactical self-defense. If you have a criminal record that prevents the possession of firearms you are not permitted to attend firearms training. You must agree that your intent by attending this tactical self-defense training course does not include planning to use the taught techniques for criminal activity or to further an agenda of civil disorder.

Training Cancellation: Max Velocity Tactical reserves the right to withhold or terminate training at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to: non-trainable safety violations, inability to follow range safety directions, disrupting class, endangering other students, or posing a liability risk to Max Velocity Tactical.

Physical Site Privacy: By attending the Max Velocity Tactical training site you are being invited onto private land to conduct training. In the interests of the privacy and security of that property you will agree not to disclose the location of the property beyond describing its location in general, non-specific terms, no more so than what is already published on public sites such as the Max Velocity Tactical blog or website.

Age Policy: There is no upper age limit, so long as you’re a physically fit and mentally alert enough to conduct the training. Remember that both CTT and the Combat Patrol class are infantry tactical classes. Age minimums: Teenagers are allowed to train, down to the age of 14 as a matter of policy. Exceptions will be considered, case by case. The requirement for anyone under 18 is parental supervision, that they have a mature teachable attitude, and that they are competent at weapons manipulation prior to showing up i.e. they must have some prior training/experience.

Student Training Acceptance Policy: Under no circumstances shall Max Velocity Tactical be expected to accept a Student and under no circumstances shall Max Velocity Tactical be expected to explain the circumstances or reason(s) that led to any determination as to the Student’s acceptability or lack thereof. Max Velocity Tactical reserves the right to refuse service for any reason. Max Velocity Tactical retains sole discretion as to the acceptance or rejection of a Student, regardless of circumstance or Student’s suitability for training.

Max Velocity Tactical/or Max Velocity Tactical Instructor reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, without requirement to provide any reason.

Student or Prospective Student agrees to not hold Max Velocity Tactical or Max Velocity Tactical Instructor liable, or responsible, to accept application or accept Student and understands that submitting an application and making a deposit or payment of any kind does not obligate Max Velocity Tactical to accept Student for training; rather, submitting payment and or application merely reflects Student’s interest in being considered as a Prospective Student. Max Velocity Tactical receiving application, payment or both is in no way to be interpreted or expected to be binding or definitive. Max Velocity Tactical reserves the right to refuse to accept or otherwise make a determination for or against any Student with or without reason.

Student and Prospective Student agrees that all words in the Terms and Conditions; and in the Disclaimer; and in the Information Packet, and in any and all communications from Max Velocity Tactical; are as Max Velocity Tactical understands them.

Privacy Policy

Your satisfaction and sense of privacy is a priority for us, so we take a number of steps to ensure your safety and to give you a pleasurable training experience with us.

Credit Card Numbers

Your credit card transaction is conducted through a secure server. Your credit card number is stored only long enough for a charge to be made to it. Once the charge is completed, the number is removed from our server to guarantee your safety and privacy.

E-mail Addresses

We understand the annoyance of receiving junk e-mail. So, we want you to know that your e-mail address will never be given out or sold to any outside party, even ones that you might be interested in. This ensures that when you give your e-mail address to us for ordering or account purposes, you will not receive any other e-mail resulting from that action.

Our regular e-mails are limited to order confirmations, customer questions, and possibly an optional newsletter. If you have an account with us, you may choose to not receive our newsletter if we offer one.

Personal Information

We never give out your e-mail address, as described above, and the same applies for your personal information. Any names or addresses provided will only be used by you the customer, and by us – maxvelocitytactical.com — for booking, ordering or shipping purposes. maxvelocitytactical.com complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws governing the sale, transfer and ownership of firearms.

Arbitration under this agreement shall be conducted under the rules then prevailing of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator’s award shall be binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no arbitration under this Agreement shall be joined to an arbitration involving any other party subject to this Agreement, whether through class arbitration proceedings or otherwise.

This disclaimer governs our tactical, self-defense and firearms classes.  We will ask you to sign this disclaimer before taking part in any tactical or firearms class.

You acknowledge that participation in tactical and firearms classes involves a risk of personal injury, including a small risk of serious injury or death, and agree to take responsibility for your health and well-being in relation to our tactical & firearms classes.

 (2)       Health and medical conditions

You acknowledge and represent that:

  • to the best of your knowledge, you suffer from no medical or physical condition or disability that will or might increase the normal risks associated with activities related to tactical & firearms; [and / or]
  • your doctor has approved your participation in our tactical & firearms classes.

You must inform us, as soon as possible, if:

  • you suffer from any [new] injury, illness or other medical condition;
  • you feel any pain or discomfort during our tactical & firearms class; or
  • you feel that any exercise or activity included in our tactical & firearms class would be unsafe or uncomfortable for you.

We may in our sole discretion prohibit you from participating in a tactical & firearms training; and you must comply with all of our safety instructions in relation to our tactical & firearms training.

(3)        No representations or warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and subject to section 5 below, we exclude all representations, warranties, undertakings and guarantees relating to our tactical & firearms classes.

Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing paragraph, we do not represent, warrant, undertake or guarantee that you will not suffer from any injury arising directly or indirectly out of our tactical & firearms classes.

(4)        Limitations and exclusions of liability

The limitations and exclusions of liability set out in this section and elsewhere in this disclaimer: are subject to section 5 below; and govern all liabilities arising under the disclaimer or in relation to our tactical & firearms classes, including liabilities arising in contract, in tort (including negligence) and for breach of statutory duty.

We will not be liable to you in respect of any personal injury (including without limitation serious injury or death) that you may suffer or sustain directly or indirectly as a result of attending our tactical & firearms classes.  Nor will we be liable to you in respect of any other losses arising as a result of any such personal injury.

We will not be liable to you in respect of any of your personal property that is lost, stolen or damaged before, during or after a tactical & firearms class.

We will not be liable to you in respect of any losses arising out of any event or events beyond our reasonable control.

We will not be liable to you in respect of any business losses, including (without limitation) loss of or damage to profits, income, revenue, use, production, anticipated savings, business, contracts, commercial opportunities or goodwill.

We will not be liable to you in respect of any special, indirect or consequential loss or damage.

(5)        Exceptions

Nothing in this disclaimer shall: limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence; limit or exclude our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; limit any of our liabilities in any way that is not permitted under applicable law; or exclude any of our liabilities that may not be excluded under applicable law.
