No 5.56mm out there?

I was just looking at some online sites, loooking to do a resupply. I can’t find any 5.56 ammo out there.

Is demand just huge right now, or has the supply been shut down?

Anyone?

  2. Yep, I’ve seen ammo, components, magazines and very other type of supply being snapped up at an alarming rate.

      that said i look for osama to pull an executive order out of his hat to reclass ar’s as class3, requiring registration with the hope of collecting them later. an atf agent friend says they don’t want any part of that. more than one source said this may be the straw if passed as the shewolf wants. one senior state official said “they might get them turned in on the capitol steps”. it gave me a glimmer of hope that america is yet alive.

      You waited to damn long, PMags now gone, all AR mil issue mags gone,
      AK’s and mags all gone, all 5.56 ammo out the door. Dealers calling
      from all the way down in Texas looking to buy. Gun store owner completely exhausted. And you missed out on free beer, could’ve been
      a Guinness or Sam Smith. You snooze, you lose.

  6. I found some bandoliers of Aussie surplus 62 grain 5.56 on DansAmmo. Thanks for the tip. I was looking for the boxes of Federal Lake City 62 grain green tip, but good luck with finding that!
    Please don’t tell me the Aussie stuff is crap! It looks good, comes in bandoliers in strip clips, 150 rounds per bag. Not quite the same as I am used to, the bags look different, but the bandolier of 150 in strip clips is a familiar concept.

  9. I’m on backorder at Midway for some winchester 62 gr supposedly in stock Dec. 28,, we’ll see. Brownells P-Mag deal is coming thru, to match the new LMT

    • Midway updated it, now expected day is 1/31/2013. I presume that the day will never arrive and its never shipped. I also assume that the Winchester plant is 24/7/365 at this moment. Since I have an LMT 1in7 would like to find some 262 77grainers, but I might as well wish for the moon.

    • I cancelled the order for 885 and took 62gr tracer, not what I wanted but I spend hours searching the net and that is what I found Still wouldn’t mind some Hornady 262 spec in steel case but unless I travel to NE and take over the plant for myself I doubt I’ll see it anytime soon.
