  1. That’s some beautiful music and a refreshing contrast of whats peddled in the mainstream as “art”

    • A quick search found this: The poem was inspired by Ibn Fadlan´s 10th c. account (Ar-Risala, “The Letter”) of the Varangian Rus.

      The original was spoken by a slave girl following her deceased master by ritual death.

  4. In this vein I like to introduce “Eine Kampf um Rom” publ. 1876 Germany, is a so called “Stufenbuch”.

    That means the plots stretches over generations and shows how individuals and people interact with and affect history.

  6. This is my favorite form of music. Hard rock mixed with orchestra and choir. For you fellow Northmen out there check out Leaves Eyes at http://www.leaveseyes.de/ They are Norwegian and German symphonic metal at its best.

    Now I gotta save my soon to be worthless FRNs and get some quality training.

  9. Yes Max I like these a lot, with a north Europe heritage,, these images and songs and legends are very much part of who we are. The Odinist desire to die with one’s sword in hand is mirrored by today’s prayer to be found in a pile of empty brass..
