Alumni Weekend July 20-21 + Trench System Concept

We have an alumni weekend planned for the weekend of July 20-21. Alumni = completion of HEAT 1 Combat Tactics live fire.

The concept for this weekend was for it to be two days only, easier for most folks to get to. It would follow the training plan that we use for the Night Operations class, but doing all activities during the day. So, no night fire portion.

The plan for the weekend would be something along the lines of:

Saturday: Flat Range, Individual Jungle Walk, Assault Drills.

Sunday: Ambush, Raid.

This is to be a live fire class.

Also, I have a conceptual plan to dig a trench system at a location at the VTC. A Soviet style trench system as per what we see in Ukraine. How this does will depend on when I can get it done, and how well the backhoe works in the VTC dirt. I plan for this to be in place by September for the Squad Tactics class, where it can be used as an Airsim / Force on Force objective. Potentially it may also be used for limited live fire / trench clearing as well. Will this be in place by the July Alumni class? Nobody knows! Watch for updates.
