Review: Texas Alumni Live Fire Class 2025: ‘Two Patches’

Class Review
I have been training with Max for several years and have taken all the classes he offers at his West Virginia training facility. Last year, after reading multiple reviews and speaking with other students, I decided to take the Texas class, and this year, I finally had the opportunity to do so.
This class requires a significant commitment—it involves a long drive and being away from work and family for 10 days—but it was absolutely worth it.
Course Breakdown:
- Day 1: The course began with a medical module, taught by a professional. It was well-structured, informative, and an excellent class on critical skills.
- Days 2-5: These were very similar to HEAT-2, covering familiar drills but in a different environment. Running these exercises in Texas provided valuable insights and reinforced key skills in a new setting.
- Night Training: This portion of the class is optional, but I highly recommend it, especially at the Texas location. It adds another layer of challenge and realism.
- Days 6-7: These went beyond HEAT-2, introducing longer and more complex drills. The pace was more intense, requiring greater focus and endurance.
Class Environment & Safety:
All students in this session were alumni, which allowed for a faster tempo compared to a standard HEAT-2 class. The round count reflects this—be sure to check the class page on the website for details. As always, safety was paramount. At no point did anyone experience any risk, thanks to strict safety protocols.
Conclusion:
This was an outstanding class, and I am extremely satisfied with the experience. I highly recommend it to anyone considering advanced training, and I look forward to taking it again in the future.
