Introduction to the MVT Forum Fitness Challenge

To be truly dangerous to your enemies, train at MVT.

This is being run by JohnyMac (Team Coyote / CLC Graduate) on the MVT Forum:

Introducing the MVT Forum Fitness Challenge, a 6-week/6 event, friendly competition pitting MVT friends and alumni against each other. Our intent is to develop camaraderie, overcome physical challenges and build awareness around the importance of functional fitness. Remember, fit people are harder to kill! Complete all 6 weeks and earn a custom patch.

Here’s how it will work:

Each week on the MVT forum, there will be a posted workout event thread along with supporting instructions and movement standards. You will be tested across broad fitness domains. You will have exactly 7 days to complete the workout (repeating is ok), submitting your best score, and providing “evidence” of completion. Ultimately, personal integrity and honor is a prerequisite, but evidence in the form of a post event photo and/or running app screenshot will help participants do the right thing. Failure to submit scores and evidence before the cutoff time will disqualify you from earning the patch, but you’re welcome to still participate.

For each week, your overall placement in that event will be your score for the week (1st place= 1 point, 2nd place= 2 points, etc.). At the end of the 6 weeks, we will announce the male/female with the lowest cumulative points as the overall winners along with winners by age group.

There will be a forum thread titled “MVT Forum Fitness Challenge Sign Up”. In the thread you will find the Packing List, a VERY basic list of what you will need to complete the Fitness Challenge. Afterwards, you will have a few implements that you can use for future physical training…assuming they aren’t destroyed in the process. After reviewing the packing list, you can commit by commenting in the sign up thread. Sign ups will closed by 6/30/2017.

We look forward to seeing you compete!
