Testing ShotStop Level III+ Special Threat Green Tip Plates vs. M193 Ammunition
A live fire test of the new ShotStop level III+ Special Threat rifle plate against M193 ammunition. The plate is made from new Duritium technology and is specifically designed as a ‘special threat’ plate to defeat potent ammunition such as the M855 ‘Green Tip’ round.
The M193 is a high velocity 5.56 round that is known for penetrating rifle plates, in particular steel plates.
Duritium, and the metal alloy composite face in these plates, does not degrade in heat and has no issues with breaking or cracking, as is the case with many synthetic and ceramic / composite plates.
