Update on CQB & FoF Training

We ran the first Close Quarter Battle Course (CQBC) 3 Day class over the weekend. I could not be more pleased and excited about this new class offering. John is the Primary Instructor and brings some recent real word combat experience and training to the mix.  We are teaching up to date techniques for Deliberate / Combat Clearance. ‘Nuff said, come to the class and find out!

The first review is already in: ‘Review: CQBC + MVT = Awesome! by Larry.

The next class is in May, but is currently full. We have talked about another class in late August, so watch this space for updates.

In the meantime, I have made some changes to the Force on Force Team Tactics offering.  We are running a class on June 17 – 18 at the VTC in Romney. We previously had an optional Friday training day prior to the FoF Team Tactics weekend which had a Run & Gun in the morning and  a 4 hour Intro to CQB session in the afternoon. I have now updated this to a full One Day Intro to CQB Class.  This gives you the option of a 3 day package, and given that the CQB objective is incorporated into many of the Force on Force scenarios, it is a useful bit of training.

So for CQB, we now have the full 3 day CQBC, and the option of adding a 1 day CQB intro ahead of the FoF Team Tactics weekend. All of this is excellent training! You cannot beat the 3 Day CQBC for the full CQB progression, but Force on Force Team Tactics (FoFTT) is excellent training all by itself, and gives you much of the ‘outside ‘ perspective. Adding the CQB Intro day gives you a well rounded package.

Of course, Combat Team Tactics (CTT) is the foundation course of all of this, although it is not a hard prerequisite for either CQBC or FoFTT. But it is recommended if you have no other tactical background. Next CTT class at the VTC is July 7 – 9.

MVT is squaring the tactical circle with this array of excellent classes!

Many of these classes are also running at the various Mobile Classes in 2017. These are open enrollment and mostly have space available. Missouri at the end of April / beginning May is running Rifle Skills, CTT and CQB. Idaho in May is running a number of classes. Then we have Kentucky and Georgia end of September / beginning October.
