Upcoming Close Quarter Battle Course (CQBC): VTC, Romney, WV

CQB / AirSim Training Site

We have the Close Quarter Battle Course (CQBC) coming up on September 13-15. There are still spaces available.

OPEN ENROLLMENT. NO TRAINING PREREQUISITE.

In any high threat situation you are likely to encounter structures that will require a tactical solution, and thus you need to understand how to deal with structure entry and clearance. Whether operating alone, with a partner, or with a tactical team, you need this class.

The Max Velocity Tactical Hostile Environment Advanced Tactics  – CQB class (HEAT CQB) is a full spectrum training program over 3 days, designed to take the student from the basic fundamentals through advanced structure entry and clearance  techniques that are taught, trained and utilized by elite military units. Situational training exercises immerse the student into real world scenarios that provide essential feedback through the use of AirSim Professional Training Rifles, while keeping each and every student in a safe and controlled environment.

Upon completion of the course students will know how to properly execute:

  • Movement to an objective
  • Move, secure and clear hallways
  • Single room entries
  • Pairs (2 man) entry and clearance
  • Team (4 man) entry and clearance
  • Multiple room structures
  • Multiple building objectives

This is a stand alone course, no prerequisite required. Regardless of your current training level you will be pushed and trained to the point of personal tactical growth (See *note below). The class involves live fire individual skills in a flat range setting, and AirSim for force on target drills and force on force training and scenarios.

Note: students should be at an appropriate training level where they can efficiently manipulate and operate their weapon, allowing them to focus on the CQB curriculum. Examples of appropriate MVT classes providing this instruction are are: HEAT 0.5 & HEAT 1. If you have not taken these classes, or adequate equivalents, you will be at a disadvantage for efficient weapons manipulation. However, safety and skills are built from the ground up over this 3 day class. An honest self assessment of your skill level is required.

Day 1 of the class is run live fire on the flat range, and consists of individual CQB marksmanship, and one-man entry drills dry and live fire. Note below the requirment for frangible rounds for a portion of the entry drill training utilizing steel targets.

Days 2 & 3 are run at the CQB Training site, and utilize AirSim Professional Training rifles. You can either rent school rifles (KWA LM4), gas & BBs, or bring your own suitable gas blow back rifle and ancillaries. Cost:Tuition: $650 AirSim Rental (optional): $100 (rifle, magazines, gas & BBs)***(see note)

Ammo:

  • 400 (approx.) Live Rounds.
  • 100 (approx.) Frangible Rounds
    • If you want MVT to supply these at 50 cent per round, email in advance.
    • Frangible is for individual entry drills using steel targets.

***Note: If you do not rent anAirSim school rifle, you will need to bring your own. It is recommended to purchase your own AirSim Gas blowback (GBB) rifle as an adjunct training aid for your general training at MVT and and home. MVT is a vendor for the recommended KWA / PTS rifle and these can be purchased in the MVT Store HERE. Bringing your own GBB rifle plus magazines, gas and BBs will avoid the $100 rental cost.
