The MVT FORUM!

I have mentioned before that I am currently writing the sequel to ‘Patriot Dawn: The Resistance Rises‘ and that blogging would be reduced. I expect to publish the sequel, ‘Patriot Rising: The Unbroken’ in January.

This means that blog articles have been reduced, and will continue to be so, particularly with some of the private classes I have coming up in 2016.

I was amused to read today on a forum post this exchange:

I would not want it posted on the blog. To much info is going to be posted here that would not be able to be addressed on the blog. If you know someone who doesn’t check the forum, tell them to get off of there ass and get involved and stop expecting free info.

It is also true that for some items that I do not consider worthy of a full blog post, such as a video clip or whatever, I post it on the forum.

If you have questions for me that you may email, that are perhaps gear related and not specifically about a training class, that I don’t currently have the time to answer (book deadline) then you may have better luck on the forum where there are plenty of experts.

Also, I will no longer duplicate posts on the blog and forum – they will either be on one or the other.

My point? Join the MVT FORUM, visit it, become part of it.

My best answer for your tactical training needs? Buy the books, read them. Read the archived content on the blog. Read and participate in the forum. Show up for training.

I enjoy reading and learning from both the MVT Blog and the MVT Forum. The referenced thread on Cold Weather Gear is excellent. My Having been “BANNED” from the MVT Forum, I did want to suggest this as close to the last word in boots for some conditions.

  While those boots may be useful for certain “conditions”, they are a monumentally stupid choice for what we are talking about in the thread. It says in the description of the boot that it is for cold weather and inactivity. They are not the boot that you want to be patrolling in for long periods of time.
