Review: Night Operations Class: Brian

HEAT Night Operations is an exceptional 2-night class in the basics of SUT operations under NVG’s. Once you’ve taken HEAT 1 and HEAT 2, you’ve meet the prerequisite to take this class. You’ll get to use the all the skills you’ve learned in HEAT 1 and 2 on the flat range and on the tactical ranges. 

Each night begins on the flat range where you’ll work on mastering your weapons manipulation and basic fire and maneuver skills in a super-safe environment. Then you’ll move to the team cabin to be briefed on individual and team exercises, including a jungle walk, movement to contact, ambush and raid.

The instructors, Max and Scott, are laser-focused on student safety while identifying areas for individual and group improvement. Everyone in our class was much smoother and more confident at the end of the second night. This is definitely the class to take if you want to get better at using your night vision gear.
