Out of contact + an upcoming post

I will be pretty much out of contact over the next week. I will moderate comments as I can and I will respond to some of the questions that are coming in when I am back in front of the computer.

In the meantime, I read this blog post by mountainguerilla and loved it! Please read it. It unlocked a cascade of memories and I am planning on following up with some of my own experiences of living and operating in the field. However this post by JM is simply ‘truth’.

Thanks for the responses to FLIR and ‘Thermal Ponchos’ (should I have called it the ‘Thermal Tarp’?) Please keep them coming and I will respond in due course to any questions.
