New Blog Comment Policy

There will no longer be comments on the blog. Many of you casual readers will not care. That is fine. There will also be no retrospective commenting on old blog posts.

Why? Comments are usually a waste of my time. Everyone on the internet has an opinion, however unfounded in expertise. I put out information on the blog, and most of it does not need to be commented on.

MVT has a FORUM. The forum costs $25 per year to be a member. Other than admin/class posts, the full text of the Blog posts goes on the forum, along with a number of posts that never see the light of the blog. The Forum is the archive for all the old MVT blog articles, a place for comment, interaction and discussion. Now that it is behind a pay wall, it is on the whole an excellent place with good folks. If you have something worthwhile to say, or you are simply seeking information and to be part of the MVT community, please take a moment of effort and join the forum.

You will tell me comments drive traffic, and all that. I am harming my business. I do not care, and neither do you, really.  You may have noticed a theme in my blog posts, and those recently from other trainers. We are tired of the bloviates out there, and the bravado. I am only interested in good folks who can be bothered to get off their ass and train. Or at the very least be a member of a mature and productive forum and transfer information each other. Dunning-Kruger is a terrible thing.

As time goes on, I have become less about ‘The Community’ and only really about those that I can influence for the better. Most people are sheep, a waste of time for a tactical trainer. I am interested in the minority, the ones who are serious about training to legitimately PROTECT. DEFEND. SURVIVE.

“Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn’t even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.” ~Heraclitus
