GEAR: Innovative Use of PC / PC Attachment Kit
MVT GEAR STORE
I was messing with one of my 3X Special Forces rigs, doing some R&D with a Crye JPC. I had already had the cummerbund on the JPC modified to buckle up without velcro, and then the thought occurred to me: why even use the cummerbund if I am using the PC Attachment kit?
The rigs we sell are designed so that they can be worn:
- On their own with the accompanying h-harness.
- Over a Plate carrier (PC) using the h-harness.
- Clipped to a PC using the PC attachment kit.
This gives you a lot of flexibility and options when it comes to the use of a plate carrier.

In the photo above, the left side shows an MVT large admin pouch, on the right are 2 x Medium admin pouches, one holding a FLIR Scout. The radio is in the inner radio pouch on the right side of view, leaving the left side of view radio pouch free, it can hold up to 2 x 5.56 mags. The front empty mag pouches have kydex inserts for lightning fast combat reloads and return of mags to the rig (tactical reloads).
Below: Left side view of the rig, the PC attachment kit taking the place of the cummerbund on the Crye JPC, which I have removed.
Below: rear view of the Rig, showing the PC Kit buckles attached to the PALS webbing on the back of the Crye JPC.

Below: Front View. The use of an MVT rig with PC Kit gives you 4 – 6 mags on the front of your PC, depending on the rig you use, all with kydex inserts, rather than the standard 3 mags that will fit on the front of PC.
