I teach these principles as part of zeroing on RS / HEMS. It was taught to me and I am unaware of it changing.
HEMS (which is our version of CMMS – combat marksmanship) goes beyond prone fundamentals into applying them in various positions and then dynamically to combat shooting and reactinh to fire from standing, shooting on the move etc.
It was taught to me and I am unaware of it changing.
I am only aware of the US versions, which have undergone a cyclical pattern. There is a strong civilian instructional presence in the military (per our NRA students), so I’m hearing it from both realms (civilian and military) though I have no direct experience with military.
May also be regional (all of my experience has been in the South).
