        Something a little different today:

        Warmup, then:

        Max Distance Standing Broad Jump
        Max Distance Sandbag Throw

        Notes:
-You can make as many attempts as you like for each
-It’s easiest to layout a measuring tape ahead of time for the standing broad jump, then you can quickly reference it
-Sandbag weight should be about 40lbs, but use whatever you have and just make note of it (Example: 53lb kettlebell)
-Word of caution: heavy hard objects will wreck your lawn, if you have a lawn and care about that sort of thing.

Visual Learners, watch this french guy explain it:

That means us guys with flagstone should probably NOT use that particular surface……don’t ask……

I don’t think I’ve done a standing broad jump since High School, maybe Junior High.

Max Distance Standing Broad Jump 6’9″

Max Distance Sandbag Throw 10’3″ (50 lbs dog food)

              throw: 14′

Throw was with my regular sandbag. 60ish lbs. Seems kind of far? Too far?

                    Jump 85″
                    Throw. 100# sandstone (ball)
                    55″ womp womp (sad trombone)
Made 5 tries. Sad. Back really felt it next day too.
