If you watch closely, there are some good examples of patrolling, and even satellite patrolling. Yes, old school but good. Good basics. It’s really just a matter of uniform and equipment between this era and the 90’s.

Probably should be looking at how the Provisional IRA was able to hit & harass a technologically, numerically, & logistically superior force at will and then just disappear in the mist.
Oh the romanticism! As one who was there, that’s not quite how it happened.
