          Remember – he who controls the vocabulary, controls the argument (source stuck somewhere between the neurons in my head).

          The U.S. was never founded as a democracy (think mob rule). As Ben Franklin supposedly said – “A Republic, if you can keep it.”

          A democracy is a form of government ruled by voting majority, again – think mob rule.

          A republic is a form of government constrained by laws, despite what a simple majority (depends on the rules set forth to change) says.

          Regardless of any form of government – when laws are applied to one group but not to another, the Rule of Law ceases to exist and only tyranny remains.

              My father introduced me to the classics in the 60s….
