I was a German WW2 reenactor for 20 years and there were a few GI reenactment units who practiced the proper period tactics. Being on the receiving end of a well coordinated attack wasn’t “fun”! Of course my unit gave as good as it got as we had translated copies of the period German manuals and practiced the proper German SUT. At the time I owned a transferable MP40 and an MG34 so we could properly replicate the firepower of a German squad (Gruppe).
Its neat to see how timeless the basic fire and movement (SUT) really is. Good stuff.
