How do helmets (ballistic and/or bump) figure into the gear discussion?

Watched it on YT great video to assist in the “gear journey” which reminds me to try and get my battle belt unfracked since it lacks velcro and rides up, around and down during drills.

Helmets are superior for night vision mounting. They obviously protect your head. Depends on your mission. This is my opinion. I have both bump and Team Wendy ballistic. The Team Wendy is very comfortable. All of the attachment devices from the nods mounts to the ear pro are going to run hundreds of dollars above just the helmet.

Great summary of the last few years of MVT gear philosophy!

                  THANKS!!

This video explained the CONCEPTS of WHAT (items) to consider WHEN (various missions/purposes).

Too often, I see items shown or casually listed without the rationale behind.

This video helped me bring together the various threads running around in my head.

Trained during the winter with a helmet (Bump) doing NODS so I get the advantage of having a firm NODS mount and earpro attached. Have a Crye skull cap but haven’t used it yet. @Max curious if plates in a kinetic enviro are a near-must, can same be said for a ballistic helmet? Maybe a decent video to address?
