I don’t know about you, but I am in countdown mode for the 2020 Texas class 2/23-2/29.

I am starting this thread so those attending the class can check in. If there is anybody new to the Texas class, you can post questions in this thread for the returning alumni.

We can also use this thread to plan extracurricular events.

Some of the returning students had floated the idea of a swap meet for tactical gear-bring your old or unused gear and we will see if we can make some trades one evening. Anybody interested in that?

Also, is anybody interested in some night time Airsim force on force?

I’m a first timer for the Texas class, so not sure what to expect during downtime (besides rest and recovery).

Since I’m driving out, I’ll be able to load up some extra gear that I’ll have to knock the cobwebs off of.

I’m still on the hunt for a fire and maneuver live fire range in the central Texas area. Any ideas??

I’ll be there, bringing the polaris ranger again as well!
Yard sale on gear: I’ll see what I can round up out of my closet.

Alright, not sure if anybody is interested in some optional extracurricular night Airsim Force on Force during the Texas class. I guess we will see who has the equipment and who wants to play when we get there.

As far as equipment goes, I’ve never done any of this work myself, but I would think the necessary gear would be something like:

-Head mounted night vision with sacrificial lens in place to protect the unit from BBs.

-Aiming method for your Airsim gun – either a weapon mounted IR laser or a tracer unit with the tracer BBs to go with it. I have the Acetech AT1000, which has the correct left hand 14mm thread to go on the KWA Airsim guns Max sells.

-Eye pro that will fit under the night vision.

-All other standard Airsim safety gear.

Depending on how many people are interested, I am hoping we can some night raids or ambushes.

I tried to post links to the tracer unit, sacrificial lens, and BBs but it kept swallowing my post. But they are available from Evike and Amazon etc.

OK, as far as the night Force on Force goes, I guess we will just see who is interested and who has the equipment once we get down there.

I’ve never done this either, but I think the preferred equipment would be:

-Head mounted night vision with sacrificial lens in place to protect the glass from BBs.

-Aiming device – either an IR laser or Airsim tracer unit. And the tracer ammo to go with it.

-Eye protection that will fit under your night vision.

-All other appropriate Airsim safety equipment.

I’m hoping we can maybe run some ambushes or raids if we have enough people wanting to participate.
