Yes, they made out OK in the end with relations with other European nations, having assets in Canada, etc. I would not call that a “win.” A win would have been putting the colonies back under their thumb and taxing them out of existence, etc. They settled here for a reason (extraction of natural resources), and that became a trade relationship after the war as opposed to simply loading up boats and taking it.

France, Spain and the Dutch were the big losers in the Anglo-French wars. The American Revolution was a small part of a global conflict. In the end, the British Empire was formed after taking many of France/Spain/Dutch colonies. This made Britain the dominant world power. And replaced the trade lost from American colonies. Although the American trade was restored over time. After all, we are cousins.
