At this point anyone wishing to legally gather at the Capitol will need to disarm near the bus assembly area or wherever their car is parked. This may change the plan for VCDL.

My initial thought is this increases the potential for violence.

Yes those who are truly going to “lobby” will most likely comply, however those who are going to protest may choose to “not comply!”

Theoretically if you are protesting a proposed ban on Rights why would you comply with a temporary ban on said Rights?

If the numbers of noncompliance are small enough the LEO’s may attempt to disarm those in noncompliance.

            Always a potential danger.

If those in noncompliance are of sufficient numbers LEO’s may choose to just document noncompliant protesters for action at a latter date.

This may differ potential violence to a latter date, but may also embolden some armed protesters through “mob” mentality leading to a different threat.

<BeginSarc> Joe- I have to respectfully disagree. My wonderful Governor has declared the Capitol Grounds a gun-free zone. What could possibly be safer than that?<EndSarc>

HA. Saw this comment on the CC2A page. Maybe everyone should show up with pikes, and maybe pitchforks and torches.

Another thought, would Northam and his band of wannabe tyrants really feel safer with a cordon of armed pissed off people encircling the perimeter of capital grounds?

For those of us outside of VA- anyone got a link to a couple of local TV stations in that area?

Be nice to keep up with them the next week or so.

Also, GOA/VCDL is challenging the ban in court per email sent around 1:15 EST. Don’t see anything on the site yet.

Surely a simple hickory walking stick/cane wouldn’t be considered a weapon.

Judge in Richmond denied the injunction. She said Red Ralph could do whatever he wanted to do.

                              Don’t bet on it.
