‘Patriot Dawn: The Resistance Rises’

Patriot Dawn: The Resistance Rises

Designed as a companion read to ‘Contact! A Tactical Manual for Post Collapse Survival‘, ‘Patriot Dawn: The Resistance Rises‘ is an exciting novel, intended as a vehicle to bring to life tactical reality. It is the first in a series: the sequel, ‘Patriot Rising’ is forecast to be published before the summer 2014.

Back Cover:

The United States has descended into Civil War.

The storm was rising for some time, a Resistance in the hearts of American Patriots to the strangulation of liberty by creeping authoritarianism.

The scene was set. It just took a little push.

A terrorist attack on the United States leads to war with Iran, followed by collapse, as the economy goes over the cliff. The final blow is a widespread opportunistic Chinese cyber attack, taking down the North American Power Grid.

From the ashes, the Regime emerges. Liberty is dead. What remains of the United States of America is polarized.

The Resistance Rises. Jack Berenger is a former Army Ranger Captain, living in northern Virginia with his family. Following the collapse, they fall foul of Regime violence and evacuate to the farm of an old Army friend. Jack is recruited into the resistance, to train the fledgling forces in the Shenandoah Valley.

The fight begins.

  1. There is a good reason why I recommend all of my prospective students read Patriot Dawn. 1) It doesn’t sugarcoat (make the hero bulletproof) realistic issues in a Without Rule Of Law scenario. 2) The writing/’instruction given in the book are “real world”, not a “Modern Warfare 3” version of actual strategy/tactics we would use in WROL. 3) It gives my students a start/reference point of scenarios to bring up in a class, that will have some realistic relevance to an actual WROL scenario. 4) It’s just a Damn well written story that has relevance to the world we live in, it’s black and white, not shades of gray!

  2. F says:

Read the book, loved it, strongly recommend it as a easy to read novelization of Max’s “CONTACT” manual.

  3. Roadkill says:

I first read Patriot Dawn, knowing nothing of MV. I thought, hey that’s one of the best I’ve read in this genre, I wonder what else this guy has written? I bought his next two books because I was sold on his writing ability and the soundness of his story line. I started reading Contact, and there was so much information that I thought,oh shit, this is more than one guy can handle. I went back and reread PD armed with the knowledge from Contact even though that information was still a little muddy in my head. Second time through PD cleared up a lot of questions on the Contact book. Now second time through Contact is much clearer with the content making much more sense. So, all that said to say this, read them both twice if you don’t have a lot of experience in Small Unit Tactics.

  4. Mt Top Patriot says:

Many tactical lessons to consider here. Real life parallels to central command as portrayed in Patriot Dawn. Good intell from an insiders view of present regime leadership.

  5. Sowega says:

Just finished Patriot Dawn and loved it. Will there be a sequel to finish the story?
